Abstract
This study aims to propose instructional strategies supported by Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to enhance the teaching and learning process of the subject Mathematics I in the Basic Cycle of Engineering at UNEFA Táchira Campus, by integrating the B-Learning model. A feasible project methodology was applied, supported by a descriptive-level field study. The sample consisted of 247 students and 15 teachers. Data collection was conducted through structured surveys. The results revealed weaknesses in the use of ICT tools within the educational process and in the structure of the virtual instructional design, but also showed a favorable attitude toward methodological change. Based on the diagnosis, an instructional proposal was developed, grounded in the constructivist approach and supported by Web 2.0 tools and the Moodle virtual environment. The proposal includes the design of interactive activities, automated assessments, and multimedia resources organized within said virtual environment. This strategy seeks to strengthen meaningful learning, promote student autonomy, and enhance the teacher’s role as a facilitator. It is concluded that the structured incorporation of ICT-based instructional strategies can significantly impact academic performance, the quality of the teaching-learning process in logical-formal subjects such as Mathematics I, and student motivation in blended learning environments.
